All borrowing history older than 12 months will be removed from your library account to protect your personal data. Please also note that you will not be able to log into the Library Record after your account expires.



 

New 3D Printer

A new 3D printer (Stratasys J55 Prime) is now available in the Learning Garden, MakerSpace, for CUHK students and staff.

With PolyJet technology, Stratasys J55 Prime 3D Printer is capable of printing detailed 3D models in multiple colours with minimal post-processing.

Stratasys J55 Prime is a 3D printer that uses PolyJet technology. This technology enables 3D printing in multiple colours with material transparency settings. The layer resolution for PolyJet 3D printing can reach 0.018 mm, and it is thus capable of recreating fine details. With the inkjet colouring method, PolyJet 3D printing can produce Pantone validated colours. This ensures that the 3D printing will have the intended colour. The printing quality is exceptional, with minimal post-processing.

All CUHK students and staff are eligible to make 3D printing requests.

The printing cost for Stratasys J55 Prime is HK$2 per gram (basic charge HK$20).
