A. New Asia Lectures on Contemporary China

In the 2015-16 academic year, we are delighted to have two guest speakers honor us with lectures in the New Asia Lecture Series on Contemporary China.  They will cover various aspects of China's current development and its relationship with Hong Kong.  Details of the lectures are as follows:

First Lecture:

Speaker: Dr. CHAN Man-hung, Thomas, Head of the China Business Centre, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Topic: Blueprint of "One Belt One Road" and the Future of Hong Kong

Second Lecture:

Speaker: Mr. PUN Ka Yeung, Simon

Topic: The Hard Thing about Hard Things

B. New Asia Lectures on Confucianism

"New Asia Lectures on Confucianism" is generously sponsored by the Moonchu Foundation. The Second New Asia Lecture on Confucianism will be held in mid-November 2015, and we have invited Professor Guo Qi-yong to be our speaker.

Professor Guo is the Professor of Philosophy at Wuhan University, Deputy Director of Research Center of Traditional Chinese Cultural Studies and Director of Research Center of Confucius and Confucianism of Wuhan University. Details of the lectures are as follows:

First Lecture:

Topic: "Mutual Non-disclosure of Wrongdoings Among Family Members" and "Execution of Family Members with the Great Righteousness": Their Ethical and Legal Dimensions
