---------Workshops open for enrollment --------- LGBTI rights in Hong Kong and Taiwan Looking from the angle of Amnesty International Date | 8 February 2017 (Wednesday) | Time | 7:00 - 8:30 pm | Content | All over the world you will find lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and intersex people (LGBTI) being discriminated and persecuted simply for being who they are. In this workshop we will learn from Amnesty International about the current situation and development of LGBTI rights with focus on Hong Kong and Taiwan. |
Sri Lanka - Ceylon Tea and Tamil Tigers Learn more about the teardrop of the Indian Ocean Date | 15 February 2017 (Wednesday) | Time | 7:00 - 8:30 pm | Content | Known as Ceylon during the British colonial rule that ended in 1972, Sri Lanka has been famous worldwide for two things: Ceylon tea and civil war. We will learn more about the 26-year long conflict and why Sri Lanka today has been ranked as the best valued destination for holidays. |
