With the arrangement of the Vice-Chancellor's Office, Prof. Chan Wai-yee, our School Director, Prof. Feng Bo and Prof. Wan Chao, members of the School's Stem Cell and Regeneration Program, together with Prof. Joseph J.Y. Sung, Vice-Chancellor and President and Prof. Fanny M.C. Cheung, Pro-Vice-Chancellor / Vice-President, met with Prof. Alexander von Gabain, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Innovation and Commercial Outreach, Karolinska Institutet (KI), Sweden, on 18 June 2015. During the meeting, they discussed potential collaborations with the CUHK especially in the areas of regenerative medicine. Indeed, both KI and our School have already explored possible partnership since 2012 (also see the last visit in 2013). This visit has further strengthened the academic linkage between the two parties which will help promote more concrete and long term collaboration in research areas of mutual interests. |
