The Unveiling Ceremony of Statue of Professor Pikai Tchang, one of the founders of the College, was held at 2:30pm on 19 September 2014 at the entrance of Yun Chi Hsien, and was well attended by alumni and guests, as well as a number of former students of Prof. Tchang.

Mr. Charles Leung, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Henry Wong, Head of the College, Prof. Kueh Yak-yeow, representative of the preparatory committee of the Statue, and Prof. Sung Shee-wu, early Economics alumnus, gave remarks for the Ceremony respectively. Mr. Leung, Prof. Wong and Prof. Kueh then officiated the grand unveiling.

Thanks to the efforts of a number of Economics alumni such as Prof. Kueh Yak-yeow and Prof. Lau Pui-king, the Statue of Prof. Tchang is now erected in our Campus, in remembrance of his achievements and monumental contributions to the College. Together with the statues of Chien Mu and Tang Chun-I, it would become one of the College's landmarks to showcase the noble spirits of our founders and the College. We are touched to have received enthusiastic support from alumni from all over the world to make this project happen, and through this we can see that Prof. Tchang will always be remembered and respected.
