The programme is open for application in the beginning of the second semester every year. Selected students travel to the United States in May and June and work alongside Yale students as interns in different designated community service agencies for four weeks. Afterwards, the New Asia and Yale students travel to Hong Kong in early July to take part in the second half of the programme by participating in another four-week internship in similar community service agencies in Hong Kong.
This year, Fok Wing-ting, Hazel (English/3), Lai Tsz-ting, Teresa (Global Economics and Finance/1) and Yeung Pui-man, Joey (Medicine/2) were selected to join the community service programme on mental health, education and HIV/AIDS respectively in Hong Kong and the United States.
