The first round of Consultation Forum for the Appointment of the Next College Head concluded successfully

The term of office of our incumbent College Head Professor Henry Wong Nai-ching will expire on 31 December 2020. In accordance with the relevant ordinance of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, six Fellows elected by the Assembly of Fellows of the College will join our Vice-Chancellor Professor Rocky S. Tuan and Chairman of the New Asia College Board of Trustees Mr. Charles Leung in forming a committee for recommending to the Council the appointment of the Next College Head.

To understand the expectation for the next College Head from our staff, students and alumni, the first round of consultation forum for the appointment of the next College Head was held at NAH 12, G/F, Humanities Building on 28 April 2020. The committee’s six elected Fellows, Professor Chu Ka-hou of the School of Life Science, Professor Jimmy Lee Ho-man of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Professor Tom Wan Yau-heng of the Department of Mathematics, Professor Terence Chong Tai-leung of the Department of Economics, Professor Fan Sin-piu of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, and Dr. Elean Leung Fung-lin of the Physical Education Unit listened to valuable thoughts and opinions of dozens of participants, who joined the forum in person or through ZOOM on that day.
