The 70th College Anniversary Scholarship Presentation Ceremony was held at Sir Run Run Hall on 27 September 2019. This year, our guest of honour was Mr. Wong Yick- kam Michael, Trustee of New Asia College of CUHK and Chairman of the Council of Open University of Hong Kong.

With generous donations from our trustees, alumni and people from the community at large, scholarships over 6.5 million dollars were presented to more than 510 students, who had demonstrated excellent performance in various aspects of moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic development.

A luncheon was held at Yun Chi Hsien after the Presentation Ceremony for donors and guests, alongside a number of scholarship recipients. It served as a great opportunity for students to not only express their gratitude to donors in person, but also better understand the meaning and vision behind the scholarships, and in turn learn to pass on the spirit of giving back to the society.

In their acceptance speeches before the luncheon, this year's Cheng Ming Awardees Ms. Tsoi Suet-or (Contemporary China Studies) and Mr. Jonathan Lee (Chinese Language and Literature), on behalf of all scholarship recipients, thanked the donors for their generous support and the College for the education and guidance throughout the years.
