Prof. Huang Yu, Professor and Chief of the Vascular and Metabolic Biology Program of our School, has recently been awarded the "2014 State Natural Science Awards" (SNSA) second-class award in recognition of his collaborative research on the critical role of transient receptor potential against metabolic vascular dysfunction, which has been conducted with Professors Zhu Zhiming, Liu Daoyan and Yan Zhencheng from the Third Military Medical University, China.
The award presentation ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on 9 January 2015. The SNSA is one of the five award categories under the State Science and Technology Awards (SSTAs) organized by the State Council which aim to honour individuals and organizations for academic excellence in basic and applied research in natural science.
