To promote high school traditional Chinese cultural education in Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, the "Seminar on Traditional Chinese Culture" is held at the New Asia College every summer since 2000, and is organised by the Su-Shu-Lou Cultural & Educational Foundation, the New Asia College, and the Traditional Chinese Culture Research Council; co-organised by the High School Education Committee of the Chinese Society of Education; and implemented by New Asia Middle School. This seminar is generously sponsored by the Su-Shu-Lou Cultural & Educational Foundation and Sin Wai Kin Foundation Limited.
The 18th Seminar on Traditional Chinese Culture, with the theme of "The Analects and Self-cultivation", was held from 12 to 18 July 2018. Around 60 participants from various higher education units across Mainland China and Taiwan joined the programme this year. The Seminar was chaired by distinguished scholars of Chinese culture, and the participants discussed and exchanged views on the content of the seminar every evening. Apart from attending the Seminar, the participants also visited New Asia Middle School, Chi Lin Nunnery and the Legislative Council for a meeting with the Honorable Mr. Ho Kai-ming.
