A seminar titled "New Asia College and Hong Kong", co-organised by the New Asia College and the Commercial Press, was held at the Hong Kong Book Fair on 17 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Nearly 150 guests, alumni, and members of the public attended the seminar that day.

With the humorous introduction given by the Registrar of New Asia Institute of Advanced Chinese Studies Professor Chow Kai-wing, the three speakers, namely Emeritus Professor of the Philosophy Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Professor Tang Duan-zheng, Trustee of the New Asia College Mr. Wong Ho-chiu, and Research Associate of the Art Museum of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Dr. Ho Pik-ki, gave their sensational speeches about the development of New Asia College and Hong Kong during the three eras – the Kweilin Street era, the Farm Road era and the Shatin era – of the College.

The College also released two new books co-published with the Commercial Press (Hong Kong) on this occasion. These two books included Cheng Ming and Fen Jin – Selection of New Asia Spirit for the College General Education (《誠明‧奮進 — 新亞精神通識資料選輯》) and Cherish, Inherit and Create – Selection of academic articles published in NA Life (《珍重‧傳承‧開創 — 《新亞生活》論學文選》).
