Organised by this Centre and fully supported by The Office of the Arts Administrator, the "Book Crossing Pavilion" was nicely concluded. The whole event attracted nearly 5,700 visits, and over 24,500 second-hand books were collected by the CUHK students and staff.
The "Book Crossing Pavilion" is one of the segments of the 4th I·CARE Book Festival. It had been receiving overwhelming response since its opening on the 11th of this month. The book room at the foyer of Sir Run Run Shaw Hall recorded nearly a thousand man-session each day. The queue for registering the collection of books was bent into a hoop especially on Friday and Saturday. To allow CUHK students and staff to choose as many books as they love, this Centre had increased the quota of free books per person during the last two days of the event (i.e. on the 16th and 18th). The 4th I·CARE Book Festival also consists of "Book Talks", "Preferential Offer of New Books" and other activities. Please click here for details.
