New Asia College and Yale University have been jointly organizing this exchange programme since 1993. Major objective of the programme is to enhance students' understanding of social, cultural and scientific issues in the two regions.

The theme of this year's programme is 'Innovation, Creativity and Social Change'. Professor Maria Tam, Associate Head of the College led a group of 8 students visiting Yale University from 2 to 16 February 2013. Our students also visited New York City and Washington, D.C. Seven students and two teachers from Yale visited the College from 10 to 23 March 2013 for the 20^th annual student exchange.

During the Yale group's sojourn in Hong Kong, academic talks, visits to NGOs and museums, and meeting with Legco Councilor (the Hon. Mr. Jasper Tsang) were scheduled. Under this programme, a symposium was held on Wednesday, March 13 at New Asia Conference Room, at which, Yale students presented three reports on theme-related issue in the USA. The symposium was very well received by staff, students and alumni of the College.

The Yale delegation also paid a two-day visit to Macau between March 20 and 21, during which they met with teachers and students from Macau University of Science and Technology, and visited fine art studios in Macau.
