(1) CUHK New Asia College Alumni Association of Greater New York
The CUHK New Asia College Alumni Association of Greater New York organized an online meeting on 28 February where they exchanged CNY greetings with one another. In the meeting, they discussed to celebrate the College’s 75th Anniversary in 2024. Dr. William Cheung, President of the Association, met with College Head Prof. Chan Sun On via Zoom and proposed initiating a fundraising campaign for alumni around the globe. Prof. Chan is very grateful to the support and hopes that the College can strengthen the connection with overseas alumni. He is expecting to pay a visit to alumni in the US after the pandemic.
(2) New Asia College Alumni Association of Northern California
The New Asia College Alumni Association of Northern California held an online meeting on 7 February. Under the pandemic, it was difficult to organize physical activities. (3) Vancouver CUHK New Asia College Alumni Association
The College was saddened to learn from Ms. Mabel Leung, President of the Vancouver CUHK New Asia College Alumni Association, that Mr. Chow Susing Johnson, an early fine arts teacher of New Asia College, passed away on 11 May in a nursing home in Vancouver. Mr. Chow passed away in peace. Mr. Chow taught at the Department of Fine Arts of New Asia College from 1962 to 1971. The College would like to express our deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences to his family.
