We Heard Your Voice – Student User Satisfaction and Needs Survey 2016
Student User Satisfaction and Needs Survey 2016 has been conducted to collect students' thoughts on our services this Apr and May. From the survey, we understand more about students' expectation and opinions on different services. Here are the 7 critical services identified as important but with low-moderate satisfaction in the survey. Check out our response on them! Services | ITSC's Response | MyCUHK | - The system will be upgraded tentatively in summer 2017.
| OnePass | - Improvement of system stability has been scheduled in end 2016.
- 180-Day Password Expiry Policy has been changed to 400-Day Password Expiry with the endorsement of IT Governance Committee.
- Use of OnePass password extends to PCs in User Areas, Learning Commons and some other computer laboratories.
- Removal of eLearning front page this Jul avoids too many navigations after OnePass login
| CUHK WiFi on Campus | - A new SSID will be introduced to avoid login for every connection in late 2016.
| WiFi in Hostels | - Collaborating with student hostel management, in-room WiFi are being installed in 30 student hostels at Chung Chi College, New Asia College, United College, Shaw College, Postgraduate Halls, iHouse and Prince of Wales Hospital. Speed and service stability have been much enhanced.
| Wired Network in Hostels | - The Ethernet link from above student hostels to campus network is upgraded from 1 GB to 2 x 10 GB Ethernet links.
| Printing Service | - ITSC will introduce more printers in Learning Commons and User Area to meet the printing need.
| CUSIS | - There was a CUSIS server upgrade to enhance the system performance during course registration.
