Every day, we have thousands of staff and students using CUHK1x WiFi for their study, work, and collaboration. CUHK1x covers
over 370 locations on campus, including classrooms, libraries, student hostels, student canteens and other communal areas. Apart from high-speed access, CUHK1x provides the following benefits over the other e.g. 4G/5G and “eduroam”:

  1. Seamless, hassle-free connection: Your smartphone/laptop will automatically connect to CUHK1x on campus.

  2. Extensive coverage in classrooms:  Inside a classroom with weak data signal? No worries, CUHK1x got you covered!

  3. Secure data transmission: Data transmitted over CUHK1x is as safe as connecting over a network cable.

  4. Privileged access: Access to restricted CUHK resources (i.e. via intranet) is handier e.g. CUPIS

Still haven’t connected? Try CUHK1x now!

Tips for using CUHK1x safely:

  1. Connect to the CUHK1x network only in the main campus and designated areas in Prince of Wales Hospital, CUHK Business School Town Centre, and CUSCS. CUHK1x WiFi appearing in other locations could be fraudulent for stealing your OnePass password.

  2. Check the WiFi certificate details specified in the user guides to ensure your device is connecting to the official WiFi network.
