During the meeting, representatives from CUHK and CAS updated each other the latest development of the different joint projects. Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) and Co-Director of the CUHK-CAS Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health Joint Research Laboratory on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, Prof. Lin Ge, Professor of SBS and Co-Director of the CUHK-SIMM CAS Joint Research Laboratory for Promoting Globalization of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Prof. Nelson L.S. Tang, Associate Member of SBS's Reproduction, Development and Endocrinology Program and Associate Director of the CAS Kunming Institute of Zoology-CUHK Joint Laboratory of Bio-resources and Molecular Research of Common Diseases also shared the recent progress made by the named joint laboratories. On the same day afternoon, the delegates were guided to visit the said three collaborative establishments set up inside the Lo Kwee-Seong Integrated Biomedical Sciences Building, CUHK.
