The 30-year Reunion of Class 1987 was held on 20 May 2017. More than 110 alumni and their families participated in the reunion. They visited around the CUHK campus, joined the tree-planting ceremony, took group photos, and visited hostels in search of their old memories.

Over 30 alumni gathered at Yun Chi Hsien at 3pm. Although there was a rain shower in the morning, the participants were still very excited about the campus tour around CUHK. The bus tour introduced the latest development of the university. Alumni were also introduced to the facilities for living on the campus such as various new restaurants. After the tour, College Head Prof. Wong joined them for photo taking, and then held together the tree-planting ceremony to celebrate their graduation of 30 years. Following their campus tour, our guests reminisced about their hostel lives when they visited the hostels.

In the evening, over 110 alumni and families participated in the reunion dinner in Yun Chi Hsien by and began the evening by singing the College Anthem.

Class coordinators are very keen on making the event enjoyable. Mr. Yim Nick Karn and Ms. Cheung Wang Yim shared the role of master of ceremonies. Other coordinators sponsored drinks, and invited some of the College's trustee members to sponsor gifts for all participants. They also invited their former teachers to join this joyous event. They were Prof. Tong Duen-ching, Prof. Mak, Thomas Chung Wai, Prof. Chan, Tze Lock, Prof. Leonard Chu, Prof. Eric Zee, Prof. Ho Man Wui and Prof. Lau Ho Fuk.

Representatives of the Executive committee, members of New Asia College Alumni Association also other members came and supported the event. All alumni were thrilled and felt nostalgic about their joyful years of study when they saw their old photos projected on the screen during the dinner. Their former teachers also delivered a few words of encouragements to their ex-students.

The College would like to thank the class coordinators for supporting the event so enthusiastically and for inviting classmates to join the event. The College hopes that the Class of 1987 will keep in touch with the college, support college activities, stay involved in the development of their alma mater and, of course, come back often for more reunions.
