Updates of University Software Standards
ITSC constantly reviews the University Software Standards to reflect changes of technology and security requirement. Here is a summary of major changes effective during Feb – Mar 2022.
- The followings are now Acceptable Software:
- Windows 11 (Note: ITSC user guides now include related settings in Windows 11)
- Windows Defender Antivirus
- Office 2021 LTSC is added into Acceptable Software
- Office 2013 Professional Plus is removed from the software standard and that of 2016 is discouraged to use.
