The First Talk of the "New Asia College Cultural Talks", jointly organised by New Asia College and the NACAA and co-organised by New Asia Middle School, was held at the school hall of New Asia Middle School on 20 October 2018. Dr. Chan Man-hung, a famous publisher in Hong Kong, was our speaker. The talk was titled "Macro History of China from a Macro Geographical Perspective – Starting from Mongolia Plateau", and was moderated by Mr. Wong Ho-chiu, Trustee of New Asia College. The lecture was very well received by the public.
At the talk, Dr. Chan displayed many images from his collection while vividly exploring the relationship between Mongolia Plateau and Chinese history with interesting illustrations and analyses, leading the audience to understanding more in depth the history of China in the context of the country's geographical environment. Participants were deeply absorbed in the lecture, which received an enthusiastic response and inspired fruitful discussions between the speaker and the audience at the Q&A session.
