New Asia College Lecture Series

A. New Asia College Cultural Talks

 

New Asia College Cultural Talks began in 1950. Speakers were mostly the teachers from the College including prestigious scholars from the Mainland like Mr .Ch'ien Mu, Mr. Tang Chun-I and Mr. Tchang Pi-kai. They aim to promote Chinese culture, academic and cultural exchanges between East and West, peace and well-being of the human race. Jointly organized by New Asia College and the New Asia College Alumni Association, co-organized by New Asia Middle School, "New Asia College Cultural Talks" holds three to four talks each year. Details of the talks are as follows:

First Lecture:

Topic: A profile of the literary intellectuals of the early Republican period

B. New Asia Lectures on Contemporary China 2017/18

 

In the 2017/18 academic year, we are delighted to have two distinguished guest speakers honor us with lectures in the New Asia Lecture Series on Contemporary China.  They will cover various aspects of China's current development and its relationship with Hong Kong.  Details of the lectures are as follows:

C. New Asia Lectures on Confucianism

 

"New Asia Lectures on Confucianism" are generously sponsored by the Moonchu Foundation. The Fourth New Asia Lecture on Confucianism will be held in October 2017, and we have invited Professor Chen Lai to be our speaker. Professor Chen is the Dean of the Academy of Chinese Learning and a professor of the Philosophy department at Tsinghua University. Details of the lectures are as follows:
