Dr. Tim Summers's book, China's Regions in an Era of Globalization in the Routledge Contemporary China Series, was published in June 2018. In November 2018, Dr. Summers presented two papers, namely "US-China Relations: Global Implications" and "Yunnan and the Belt and Road Initiative", in the Fourth East Lake Forum on Global Governance (hosted by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan) and the Annual Conference of the Hong Kong Political Science Association (City University of Hong Kong) respectively. His "UK-China: Broadening the Values Agenda" was made part of the Political Values in Europe-China Relations, a report of the European Think-tank Network on China. Most recently, Dr. Summers authored "The External Affairs of the Hong Kong SAR: UK-Hong Kong Economic Relations". The article will be published in Asian Education and Development Studies.

Professor John Lagerwey wrote a journal article titled "Lu Xiujing's Shoudu yi 授度儀: A Grammatical Reading", published in Studies in Chinese Religions. He also wrote Paradigm Shifts in Early and Modern Chinese Religion: A History, a Brill publication, which was released in October 2018.

Professor Yau Ching's "Reimaging Marginality in Hong Kong Comedy Films" was featured in the Hong Kong Film Archive's Newsletter 86 in November 2018.
