New Asia College/ Yale University Summer Community Service Exchange

New Asia College and Yale-China Association jointly established the above program in academic year 2002/ 2003. The main objective is to bring together students from different regions for cultural exchange, and to understand different approaches in the provision of community/ public services. This program is generously sponsored by Dr. Wong King Kwok, Raymond.

The program is open for application in the beginning of the second semester every year. Selected students travel to the United States in May and June and work as interns in different social service agencies with the Yale students for four weeks. After the internship in the States, the New Asia and Yale students fly back to Hong Kong for another four-week internship in similar social service agencies in July.

This year, Suen Chantelle Wai Man (PSY/ 2), Yang Sze Ngai (GPA/ 3) and Wang Yu Ting (IBBA/ 2) were selected to join the community service program on mental health, education & HIV/AIDS in Hong Kong and the United States.
