New Asia College and Yale University of the US have been jointly organising this exchange program since 1993 to enhance Hong Kong and US students' understanding of social, cultural and technological development issues in the two regions through a series of academic seminars, symposiums and visits. This programme has been organised with Dr. Raymond Wong's generous funding support since 2015.
The theme of this year's exchange was "Collective Memory and Generational Identity". As part of the programme, a group of eight New Asia students visited Yale University from 10 to 24 February 2018 to discuss relevant issues with Yale students. Yale teachers and students paid a reciprocal visit to our College (with a visit to Hangzhou during 22 to 24 March) from 11 to 24 March 2018. During the Yale group's stay in Hong Kong, they participated in various activities, including academic seminars, visits to local NGOs, and meetings with LegCo Councilors, to learn about Hong Kong's current circumstances. A symposium was held on 14 March at Yun Chi Hsien, where Yale students presented a number of reports related to the theme of the programme.
