A Series of Celebration Activities for the 65th Anniversary of our College

A series of activities have been held in the past three months to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of our College. They include the Opening Ceremony, the Banquet for a Thousand People, Respect Our Teachers Activities, New Asia College 65th Anniversary Lecture by Prof. Yu Ying-shih and 65th Anniversary of New Asia College Banquet. All of these were successful, enjoyable events and we would like to thank all of you for your support and participation.

 

The upcoming celebrations are also very attractive and we hope that all New Asia students, alumni and friends will be able join us. The events are shown below:

1. Popular Cantonese Ditty Gala Concert

 

The Popular Cantonese Ditty Gala Concert, one of the events to celebrate 65th Anniversary of New Asia College will be performed by New Asia alumni and students of the Voice Class.

 

Date: 29 November 2014, Saturday

Time: 3pm

Venue: The Lecture Theatre, Shaw College, CUHK

 

2. Publication of a book launch for the collection of Mr. Chien's manuscripts

 

This book is edited by Mr. Wong Ho Chiu and Mr. Lu Guo Shen. It collects Mr. Ch'ien and his students' letters and valuable works of calligraphy. The themes are "Learning", "Conduct" and "Parenting and Student-Teacher Love". Mr. Ch'ien and his students' letters are rich in content and are the memorial literature of 65th Anniversary of our New Asia College.

 

Expected Publication Date: Early December of 2014

Price: HK$ 120

3. New Asia History Gallery Special Exhibition – Manuscripts of Mr. Chien Mu and Book Launch

 

A special exhibition of the History Gallery showcasing manuscripts of Mr. Chien Mu will be held from 1 to 13 December 2014 at Hui Gallery (adjacent to the History Gallery). A book launch for the collection of Mr. Chien's manuscripts will be held at the History Gallery at 3pm on 6 December. Details of the events will be announced later on.

4. New Asia College 65th Anniversary Lecture (Speaker: Professor Tony Chan)
