Career Talks of Mentorship Programme

2 Career Talks were held in January 2013 under the 2012-13 Mentorship Programme. The College is grateful for the help of 7 mentors who have kindly agreed to share their professional experience in the respective professions.

The talks on "Civil Services / Public Health" and "Law / Education" were held at the Yasumoto Academic Park on 14 and 28 January respectively and the speakers are:

1st Talk:

1. Dr. LAM Tzit Yuen, David (1991/Medicine)

    Surgeon

2. Dr. KC HAU (1992/Medicine)

    Specialist in Dermatology

3. Mr. TSE Man Shing (1977/Finance)

    Director of Corruption Prevention

4. Ms. WONG Ngai Lui (1996/ANT)

    Assistant Secretary for the Environment

    (Sustainable Development)

 

2nd Career Talk:

1. Ms. Lui Ling Yee, Lillian (1970/English)

    Director of an Education & Resource Center,

    and a former Secondary School Principal

2. Mr. Mak Hon Kei, William (1996/Psychology)

    Barrister

3. Mr. Tse Kar Son, Carson (2002/Government

    and Public Adminstration)

    Solicitor of High Court

The Mentors have kindly shared their professional experience, their views on career development and the principle of maintaining professional ethics. We hope to help the broadening of the horizon of our students so that their perspectives are extended beyond their study disciplines and professions. This is given in the College Regulations #4: "Get rid of individualistic and utilitarian considerations, do away with the superficial mentality of entering school for the sheer sake of attaining professional qualifications"

The 3rd Career Talk cum Reunion Dinner of the programme would be held on 23 March 2012. Details would be communicated to all Mentors and Mentees in due course.
