| The 15th Thousand-people Banquet of Hong Kong Asia Lions Club | |

Organised by the Hong Kong Asia Lions Club in collaboration with New Asia College, the Thousand-people Banquet was held on the evening of 8 December 2018. This was the 15th year that this large-scale charity event had been held in New Asia College. There were altogether 98 tables of guests, with more than half of the tables attended by senior citizens. During the banquet, a delicious poon choi (big bowl feast) was served, gifts and red packets were given out, and various entertaining performances were staged. The audience was excited when Mr. Mak Tak Law sang several old popular songs. The banquet came to an end at 9:00 p.m. There was a faint chill in the air, yet the atmosphere was warm with the seniors leaving with a cheerful spirit and a lovely gift bag. The College would like to take this opportunity to wish the senior guests a healthy and prosperous life, and would like to thank the Asia Lions Club for enthusiastically supporting and sponsoring this meaningful event that warmed the seniors' hearts. |
