| The 9th Thousand-people Banquet of Hong Kong Asia Lions Club | |

Collaborated with New Asia College, the Thousand-people Banquet organised by the Hong Kong Asia Lions Club was held on 24th November, 2012 on the New Asia College campus. This was the nineth year that the event had been held in New Asia College. There were a total of ninety-nine tables of guests with more than half of the tables were attended by the elderlies. During the banquet, delicious poon choi (big bowl feast) were served, gifts and red packets were given out , and entertaining performances were staged. Mr. Wan Kwong and Mr. Gill Mohindepaul Singh sang several old popular songs. With other guests, Prof. Cheung Hok Ming sang a famous love song in Chinese, namely The Moon Tells My Heart, and he also amazed the audience by his solo song Star. The banquet came to an end at around 9 pm when there was a faint chill in the air, yet the elderlies left with a cheerful spirit and a delightful gift bag. The College took this opportunity to wish the elderlies a healthy and prosperous life. |
