The plaque unveiling ceremony for the CUHK MoE - Microsoft Key Laboratory of Human-Centric Computing and Interface Technologies (Key Laboratory) was held on August 7 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). The officiating guests were Prof. Lawrence J. Lau, CUHK Vice-Chancellor; Mr. Wu Guilong, Deputy Director-General, Science and Technology Department, Ministry of Education (MoE); Mr. Kenneth Chen Wei On, Under Secretary for Education, Education Bureau, HKSAR Government; Mr. Pan Yonghua, Director General of Education, Science and Technology Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR; Prof. Andrew Yao Chi Chih, Distinguished Professor-at-Large, CUHK and Chairman, International Advisory Board, Key Laboratory; Dr. Hsiao-Wuen Hon, Managing Director, Microsoft Research Asia and Co-Managing Director, Key Laboratory; and Prof. Peter Yum Tak Shing, Dean of Engineering, CUHK and Co-Managing Director, Key Laboratory. |

Delegation from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine |
A delegation from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine led by Prof. Luo Ying, Party Secretary of the University visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on August 30 for academic exchange. They met with representatives from the School of Chinese Medicine of the University, including Prof. Che Zhentao, Director, the School of Chinese Medicine, Prof. Leung Wing-nang, Prof. Liang Song-ming, Prof. Sun Waizhu. In the meeting, Prof. Che gave a brief introduction to the School's administration structure and its focus areas of research. Prof. Luo also introduced the latest development of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After that, the delegation visited campus facilities and the Herbal Garden, the garden for education and research. |
