Do you want to be a designer? In a sharing session held on 27 November, 2013, Mr. Lampson Ip, an alumnus of Higher Diploma Programme in Commercial Design, shared with fellow alumni and students his tips for working in the design industry.

Upon completion of his Higher Diploma studies, Lampson was admitted to the Top-up Undergraduate Degree Programme offered by Griffith University and the School. He is now working as a designer at IdN Magazine, an international magazine for creative people. Lampson shared his tips in design studies by saying, "Every single module in the programme was significant. You need to understand thoroughly and think critically, then you would find you have gained knowledge from it."

He is positive about the future of Hong Kong's design industry. "There is still room for development in the design industry in Hong Kong because design plays an important role in product packaging or even marketing," Lampson shared. He encouraged students who work in the industry to update their design skills with the market trend.
