Identifying an increasing demand for local delivery services in the Mainland, Computer Science and Engineering alumnus Mr. Met Hing-lung LI co-founded ZhenRobotics, an information technology and services company that develops package-delivery robots. The company, based in Beijing, specialises in the robotics solutions for the last mile of logistics and has now achieved a major delivery milestone. The recent successful trials on campus have proved a revolutionary application of AI and machine learning in the Mainland. Met credits the Department of Computer Science and Engineering for exposing him to the world of software. This was complemented by the solid hardware knowledge he gained by joining Texas Instruments after graduation. With a firm grounding in both hard and software he had the impetus to start the company. ZhenRobotics now partners with a variety of market leaders in delivery, real estate and smart city industry.
