Greetings! This is 'E'
Greetings! This is 'E' (you know, as in Enthusiasm, Embrace, and Everything Exciting) saying hello to all readers of the first issue of 'Alumni Matters'!

If you share the same inquisitive mind that I have, you may be wondering what's in the name of "Alumni Matters". For one, this new e-newsletter aims to bring matters of interest and relevance to the alumni community. "Alumni Matters" is also yet another of the many initiatives of CUHK to establish rapport with alumni who indeed matter a lot to the alma mater!

Do you know what Alumni Affairs Office did to embark on the challenge of identifying an appropriate Chinese name for "Alumni Matters"? They turned to no one else but alumni for their creativity and inspiration in suggesting what they think would be the best Chinese name for this e-newsletter debut! Since the open appeal in June, overwhelming response had been received from alumni of all years and backgrounds. I am deeply impressed by the great variety of suggestions which encompasses the wide spectrum of caring sentiments expressed by alumni towards CUHK.

On behalf of the Alumni Affairs Office, I wish to take this opportunity to thank all alumni who have responded to the appeal with ingenious suggestions. As the search of the name continues, I invite you to provide further input to us after reading the first issue of this e-newsletter. Other suggestions are also welcome. Please email your suggestions to alumni@cuhk.edu.hk before August 31.

"Alumni Matters" only matters because you do; your continuous support matters too!
