The delegation met with Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Wong Tak-jun, Dean of Business Administration; Prof. Sung Yung-wing, Chairman of Economics and Co-Director of the Institute; Prof. David Chen, Chairman of Geography and Resource Management; Prof. Fanny Cheung, Director of Hong Kong Institute of Asia Pacific Studies and Chairman of Psychology; and Prof. Terence Chong, Executive Director of Institute of Global Economics and Finance. In the meeting, both parties reported previous research projects in the Institute and reviewed the collaboration progress. Discussions were held on prospects of expanding collaboration in joint projects, academic activities and joint publications.
CUHK has developed close links with Fudan University since 1985. The joint Institute was established in 2001 to achieve excellence in cross-region research. Student exchange programmes have been launched in 2003. This visit reinforced the partnership development and further strengthened the ties between the two universities to expand collaboration in economics and social science.
