Office of Academic Links (China) organized a China Links Seminar on the topic "Introduction to National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)'s funding policies in Hong Kong" on 18 September. Mr. Wang Wenze, Deputy Director of the Office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of NSFC, was invited to give the talk. Mr. Wang introduced to the audience the NSFC background information and details of its funding policies in Hong Kong. Specific support on the collaboration between Hong Kong and mainland researchers was introduced. Further information concerning Hong Kong and Macao fundamental research was also given for discussion. The seminar enabled CUHK members to gain a better understanding about the structure of NSFC and its funding policies details.
