  • "Power Your Love" Programme –Energy Saving for the Needy! - Campus Planning and Sustainability Office

About the ProgrammeCUHK is the supporting organization of the 'Power Your Love' Programme recently launched by CLP.  Residential customers who join this programme can 'transfer' the amount of electricity they save to people in need!  All students, staff and alumni are welcome to join this meaningful programme.  It is expected the programme will benefit approximately 20,000 needy people.

    How you can help:

'Transfer Electricity' - If the participating customer's energy usage during Energy Saving Period (i.e. 1 June to 31 July 2015) is lower than the consumption in the same period in 2014, CLP will donate every kWh saved to the needy.

'Donate Money' - Besides 'transferring' saved electricity, all customers and non-customers are also welcome to support the programme by making donations.  CLP will match every dollar donated with shareholders' money.  The fund raised will then be used to subsidize the electricity bills of the needy.
