SEEM PhD Student Receives the Best Student Paper Award at the 19th IEEE International Workshop on SPAWC 2018

Ms Sherry Xue-Ying NI received the Best Student Paper Award at the 19th IEEE International Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications (SPAWC 2018) for her paper titled "Mixed-Integer Semidefinite Relaxation of Joint Admission Control and Beamforming: An SOC-Based Outer Approximation Approach with Provable Guarantees", co-authored with her PhD advisor Prof. Anthony Man-Cho SO.

SPAWC is the flagship workshop of the Signal Processing for Wireless Communications and Networking Technical Committee (SPCOM-TC) of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. SPAWC 2018 features a Student Paper Competition, where the finalists present their research in a poster format evaluated by a team of judges. Six out of 50 eligible papers are selected for participating in the Student Paper Competition, from which three receive the Best Student Paper Award.
