Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, led a delegation of representatives to visit Nankai University on 19 September. Team members included Prof. Paul Lee, Dean of Faculty of Social Science; Prof. Lam Kin-che, Director of the Centre of Strategic Environmental Assessment for China; Prof. Lam Mong-chow, Chairperson of the Department of Social Work; Prof. Tang Kwong-leung, Professor Department of Social Work and Associate Director of the Hong Kong Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies; Prof. Wong Chack-kie and Prof. Chen Ji-kang of the Department of Social Work.
The delegation met with Prof. Xue Jinwen, Party Secretary, Prof. Yang Qingshan, Vice Party Secretary, and Prof. Chen Hong, Executive Vice-President of Nankai University. After the meeting, both universities entered into the "Collaboration Agreement on Strategic Environment Assessment" and the "Agreement on Joint Centre of Social Policy Studies". Prof. Chen and Prof. Cheng also unveiled the plaque in commemorating the establishment of "Joint Centre of Social Policy Studies of Nankai University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong".
