Visit of Vice-President of Jinan University

Prof. Zhang Ronghua, Vice-President of Jinan University, led an eight-member delegation to visit the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on May 27.  During the visit, the delegates met with Prof. Fung Tung, Associate Vice-President and Mr. Fung Siu Man, Director of Campus Development, to learn about the University's systems and policies on campus development and management.

The delegation was next arranged for a meeting with Prof. Fung Kwok-pui, Associate Director of School of Biomedical Sciences; and Prof. Miao Qian, Vice-Department Chairman of Chemistry. Visits were paid to the laboratory facilities of the two units as well as the campus to know more about the management of the equipments and the overall planning of the core facilities.

Visit of Deputy Director of Binzhou Medical University

Mr. Li Kexiang, Deputy Director of Binzhou Medical University, led a delegation with members of Hong Kong Blind Union, visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)  on May 25.  The delegates met with CUHK members including Prof. Dennis Ng, Associate Vice-President and University Dean of Students; Mr Raymond Leung, Director of Student Affairs; Ms Wing Wong, Director of Academic Links (China); and Ms Myra Lau, Senior Programme Manager of Office of Academic Links.

Representatives of CUHK introduced to delegates the University's latest development, and shared experience of student affairs and student interflow, with topics including specific support provided for disabled students and efforts on special education.  The visit provided a valuable opportunity for Binzhou Medical University to have more knowledge of CUHK, developing friendship and establishing links between the two universities.
