Hong Kong Environmental Moot Court: Saturday, October 27, 9am - 3:30pm, Graduate Law Centre, 3/F, Bank of America Tower in Central

The Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF) has supported the Hong Kong America Center to conduct a series of five simulations over two years to deepen awareness among university students of the policy issues of climate change worldwide and their specific relevance to Hong Kong and its future.

“The Moot” will be environmental moot court competitions open to students in HK universities in all disciplines, such as law, business, science, public policy, social science and humanities. Our partner for the moot is the Faculty of Law of the CUHK. The first moot will be on Saturday, October 27 in the Graduate Law Centre, 3/F, Bank of America Tower in Central.

Places are limited. First come, first served. You will join an interdisciplinary team of four or five students from different universities in HK. Our question is: how can the UN strengthen its implementation of the Paris Accords on Climate Change? What should HK do to meet its own goal of reducing carbon intensity by 20% by 2020, and more by 2030? Strengthen your advocacy skills, work on a team of your peers, and express your ideas and concerns for how the world, the UN system and HK itself can take climate policy seriously. Let us not burn our planet!
