【打書碟之夜：溝字唔溝歌】 如果可以用文字代替唱片來打碟，會是怎樣的光景？ 「打書碟之夜」是由 Alberto Gerosa 策劃的參與式表演及體驗式閱讀活動：參加者將化身文字DJ，即場分享、編排、循環、混合一段段文字，合力打造出以引文（quote）編織而成的「DJ set」。 本次活動以「過渡」（transit）為主題，取其最廣闊的意義：由中學過渡到大學、由一個學年走進下一個學年、由一段關係、一個地方，甚至一個生活世界轉入另一個。 你帶來的引文，可以關於任何與轉變有關的經驗、感受或思考；也可以關於那些不肯改變的事物。它們可以關乎精神或物質，可以是人生中的重大時刻，日常生活中的瑣碎片段。 請準備： • 一至兩段引文，每段不超過三四句。出處不限——學術著作、流行讀物、小說、電影、歌曲、短片、社交媒體、日記，甚至是別人曾經對你說過的一句話。 • 任何語言都歡迎——廣東話、英文、普通話，或其他語言均可。歡迎在你們的 DJ set 中混合不同語言，因為語言之間的切換與碰撞，也是創作的一部分。 無須任何經驗。只須帶上你的引文、你的聲音，以及一份好奇心——看看文字可以帶你去到哪裏，而你自己又正在往哪裏去。 活動流程： 活動以駐場「書碟DJ」Alberto Gerosa的現場演出揭開序幕。隨後你會加入小組，分享各自帶來的引文，並將它們混合重組，編成一張「歌單」，最後各組會向全場演出自己的 DJ set。每張桌上亦會放置一些由本系老師推薦的書籍：如果你的 set 需要更多素材，隨時翻開現場「取樣」（sample）一句，就像DJ在唱片箱中發掘最合適的聲音一樣。 無須任何經驗。只須帶上你的引文、你的聲音，以及一份好奇心——看看文字可以帶你去到哪裏，而你自己又正在往哪裏去。 歡迎所有中大學生及教職員報名參與！ Book DJ Set: Mixing Quotes, Not Songs! What if you could DJ with words instead of songs? Book DJ Set is a participatory performance and experiential reading event by Alberto Gerosa where participants become DJs of quotes, subverting the logical approach to academic concepts — sharing, sequencing, looping, and remixing fragments of text into live "DJ sets" of words. This event takes "transit" as its theme, in the broadest sense: the passage from secondary school to university, from one academic year to the next, from one relationship, one place, or one lifeworld to another. Your quote can speak to any experience or feeling of change — or of what refuses to change — whether spiritual or material, monumental or mundane. What to bring: • One or two quotes, each no longer than three to four sentences. Your quotes can come from anywhere: an academic text, a popular book, a novel, a film, a song, a short video, a social media post, your diary, or even something someone once said to you. • Quotes in any language are welcome — Cantonese, English, Mandarin, or anything else. Feel free to mix different languages in your DJ set, as switching and moving between languages is part of the creative process. Date: Tuesday, 13 October 2026 Time: 6:30–8:30 pm Venue: KKB_201 & 201A Moderators: Dr. Alberto Gerosa, Prof. Joseph Li, Dr. Chris Kung, Amanda What will happen: The night opens with a live demonstration by our resident Book DJ and Alumni Alberto Gerosa. You will then join a small group to share your quotes and remix them, arranging them into a playlist, before performing your group's set for the room. On each table, you'll also find a crate of books recommended by teachers of our department: if your set needs extra material, dig through them and "sample" a line on the spot, just as a DJ digs through records for the perfect sound. Notes: • CUHK students and staff are warmly welcome to join. • Dinner will be provided. • If applications exceed capacity, participants will be selected based on their responses. • Participants who successfully register will receive a confirmation email one week before the event.
