徐秋雁 (Jen Shyu) 音樂演出: Fertile Land, Fertile Body（2026年10月8日截止報名）

Experience Fertile Land, Fertile Body by Jen Shyu, a powerful performance combining song, dance and moving image across multiple languages. Drawing on ancestral languages and original compositions, Shyu explores loss, grief and renewal through themes of motherhood, nature and ecological destruction. After the performance, CUHK students who participated in Shyu’s workshops will join her on stage for a special collaborative performance.

徐秋雁的作品《豐饒之地，豐饒之身》是一場融合歌唱、舞蹈與影像的精彩演出，以多種語言呈現，並巧妙融入鋼琴與多種傳統樂器。作品以祖先語言及原創音樂為創作素材，圍繞母性、大自然與生態破壞等主題，探索失落、悲傷與重生。演出結束後，曾參與徐秋雁工作坊的中大學生將與她攜手，呈獻一段特別的合作演出。

About the Artist:
Jen Shyu (徐秋雁) is an American multilingual vocalist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, dancer, producer, and theatre maker, who currently based in New York. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University, where she studied opera. Her work draws on research into jazz and improvisation in intersection with traditional music and dance across Asia, the Americas, and beyond.

A 2025 Rome Prize Fellow, 2019 Guggenheim Fellow, and 2011-2013 Fulbright Scholar, Shyu has performed at leading international venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, BAM, and the National Theater of Korea. She is also the co-founder of Mutual Mentorship for Musicians (M³), an international programme supporting underrepresented composer-performers.

關於藝術家：
美國多語言聲樂家、作曲家、多樂器演奏家、舞者、製作人及劇場創作人Jen Shyu（徐秋雁）畢業於史丹福大學，獲文學士學位，主修歌劇。她的創作源於對爵士樂及即興創作的研究，並將兩者與亞洲、美洲及其他地區的傳統音樂和舞蹈連結起來。現以紐約為創作基地。

徐秋雁為2025「羅馬獎」、2019「古根漢獎」得主及2011-2013年度傅爾布萊特學者，曾於卡內基音樂廳、林肯中心、布魯克林音樂學院（BAM）及韓國國立劇場等國際知名場地演出。她亦是Mutual Mentorship for Musicians, M³ (「音樂家互助導師計劃」)的共同創辦人，該計劃旨在支持來自各地代表性不足社群的作曲表演者。
