Event Name: BIOHK 2026 Event Date: 9 – 12 September 2026 Venue: HKCEC, Hong Kong Application Deadline: 13 July 2026 (Mon), 23:59 WHO can apply? 1) The Person-In-Charge (PIC) must be full time staff at CUHK holding positions within professoriate or research academic ranks 2) Startups or spin-offs that are founded or co-founded by CUHK's staff members, presenting the use of CUHK's IP or holding a license for CUHK's IP 3) The IP of innovations presented at this event must be owned/ co-owned by CUHK 4) Start-ups or spin-offs with a focus on technologies including but not limited to: i) Frontier Technologies - Gene Editing & Cell Therapy - Stem Cells - Synthetic Biology & Biomanufacturing ii) Pharmaceutical Innovation - Drug Discovery & Development (Innovative Drugs) - Globalization of Biopharma - Modernisation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) - Medicine & Food Homology iii) Smart Health - AI & Robotics (Embodied AI) - Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) - Medical Devices & HealthTech iv) Clinical & Healthcare - Precision Medicine & Diagnostics - Clinical Trials - Longevity Medicine - Cancer - Infectious Diseases - Global Health & Vaccines v) Policy & Ecosystem - Regulatory Science & Ethics - Biotech Investment & Industrialisation Application Details Step 1: Complete the online application form for KTO vetting* (By 13 Jul 2026) Step 2: Interview and vetting (~ Mid - Late Jul 2026, TBC) Step 3: Confirmation email will be sent to shortlisted applicant teams (~ Late Jul - Early Aug 2026, TBC) Step 4: Shortlisted teams will work closely with KTO on the poster development and BIOHK related matters (~ Late Jul - Mid Aug 2026, TBC) [Important Note] 1) KTO will cover the costs of registration, booth and entry passes 2) Local transportation and logistics will NOT be provided 3) Project teams are required to maintain a physical presence at their designated booths throughout the duration of the event. The attendance records will be retained by the Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) and may serve as a reference for the screening and selection of teams in future KT events. 4) Additional works on poster development and event preparation may/will be needed prior to physical presentation in BIOHK 2026 5) Final selection of teams will be subject to internal review by KTO and acceptance by the main organizer and/or corporate partners, which deemed appropriate 6) All applications should be submitted to Knowledge Transfer Events Management Team, Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO). If no record of information submission is received, KTO reserves the right to exclude the project from the CUHK pavilion and promotional activities.
