Mr. Ryan Yeung (Founder & CEO, Happy-Retired | Happy-Retired Charity Action (HRCA))
Inspired by his newly-retired father, Ryan founded “Happy-Retired” online platform and “Happy-Retired Charity Action” in 2014 and 2015 respectively to champion active aging. His mission is to empower retirees and soon-to-retire individuals to design a purposeful “second-life” and continue contributing through volunteering, employment, lifelong learning and meaningful engagements, thus transforming the challenges of “aging” into development opportunities across multiple sectors. With the help of “silver professionals”, both organizations have become recognized market leaders in active-aging solutions.
Prof. Raymond Sum (Start-up Founder and Managing Director, PLACY; Professor, Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, CUHK)
Established in April 2022, Physical Literacy Academy for Children and Youth (PLACY) is a sports-related social enterprise funded by The Chinese University of Hong Kong. PLACY aims to nurture children and youth in Hong Kong into healthy, confident, happy, and active individuals through physical literacy, physical fitness, and sports talent assessments, certifications, awards, ranking, and consultation and referral services.
Professor Raymond Sum is a committee member of Advocacy and Collaboration, and the ambassador of the International Physical Literacy Association (IPLA). He leads the Sports and Society Research Group at the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, CUHK, which focuses on examining physical literacy, its application to different populations, operationalizing physical literacy and assessment of the interventions of physical literacy on PE teachers’ professional development and students’ learning outcomes.
Mr. Clarence Cho (Silver Professional; Independent Consultant | Investor and Non-executive Director, Good Century Communication Ltd; Former business professional from Apple, HP and SanDisk)
A seasoned APAC business professional, team builder, and growth driver with extensive experience in sales and marketing leadership roles at Apple, Hewlett Packard and SanDisk, at both country and regional levels. Strong business acumen and exceptional skills in connecting the dots in complex business environments, including navigating the unique challenges of startups. Has lived and worked in Hong Kong, China and Singapore with a deep understanding of diverse cultures, value differences and business practices across multiple markets.
