2026 Value Investment Proposal Competition

Sponsored by Overlook Investments Ltd., the Lau Chor Tak Institute of Global Economics and Finance (IGEF) is organising the seventh Value Investment Proposal Competition in March 2026. This programme offers undergraduate students the unique opportunity to learn value investment techniques from top industry experts and apply that knowledge in a professional competition setting. Participants will attend a series of curated lectures and submit a formal investment proposal; winning teams will receive cash prizes of up to HK$60,000.

The Competition is open to all full-time students studying an undergraduate degree programme at a local tertiary institution or The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) for the 2025-2026 academic year. Students from any discipline are welcome. Participants must apply as a team of two to four members, at least one of whom must be a full-time undergraduate student currently enrolled at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong (CUHK-Hong Kong). Each participant can enter the Competition as a member of only one team.

Interested teams should register for the Competition by completing this application form by 1 March 2026. Due to limited availability, applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis; successful applicants will be notified via email.

Instructional Modalities

Unless otherwise specified, lectures and workshops will be delivered in person on the CUHK-Hong Kong campus. Online access via Zoom will be offered to participants from CUHK-Shenzhen exclusively.

Any form of recording or dissemination of the presentations, partially or entirely, is strictly prohibited unless prior written consent has been obtained.
