Alumni Affairs Office Summer Internship Programme 2024

Our main objective of this Programme is to provide our undergraduate students with valuable hands-on experience working on promotion, event planning and various alumni projects. Successful interns will also have opportunities to network and participate in a variety of alumni activities, meeting alumni leaders of major alumni associations and engaging with our alumni community.

Interns must be current FULL TIME UNDERGRADUATE students. Students of first year, second year or third year are eligible. Interns will work on regular office hours at Alumni Affairs Office and will have an hourly allowance of HK$65/hr (Approx. HK$13,000 for 6 weeks)

Programme Benefits:
- Acquire experience in supporting alumni events and providing event promotion ideas
- Understand the characteristics of different promotion channels and showcase social media strategies
- Build connections with CUHK alumni through access to various alumni activities
- Gain a rich understanding of alumni affairs and alumni associations network of CUHK

Duties Include:
- Support in graphic design, video production and basic editing
- Facilitate content creation for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WeChat and YouTube
- Draft quality publicity material
- Assist in planning, and preparation for alumni activities and events, such as CUHK Entrepreneur Day, Distinguished Alumni-in-Residence Programme and Happy Hour Talk
- Provide administrative and logistic support to internal and alumni meetings

Desired Competencies:
- Possess knowledge of artwork production. Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus
- Interested in video production. Hand-on experience in Adobe Premiere/Final Cut Pro is an advantage
- Experienced in organizing activities and events
- Good communication skills, including a strong command of written English and Chinese. Experience in translation is an added advantage
- Familiar with social media platforms, such as content creation and user behavior
- Able to learn quickly and deliver on time with quality
