We have witnessed substantial achievement in advancing gender equality and empowerment in societies, but there are still persistent and less-visible structures and norms hindering transformative changes. Through this international conference, we aim to explore the interactions of gender and socio-political dynamics and examine the progress and effectiveness of policies in response to pressing gender issues located in specific countries and places.
