We are cordially inviting you to participate in an online survey entitled ‘Needs Assessment and Expectations of Cochrane Nursing’ initiated by Cochrane Nursing and Cochrane Hong Kong, The Nethersole School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In the following paragraphs, the key information of this research is summarised for you to understand why this survey is being done and what it would involve. Why this survey is being done?

This investigation aims to identify priority nursing topics and themes for synthesised evidence and knowledge transfer, review the existing core functions of Cochrane Nursing, and examine the expectations regarding the roles and functions of the Cochrane Nursing. Cochrane is an international non-profit and independent organisation, dedicated to making up-to-date, accurate information about the effects of healthcare readily available worldwide. The mission of Cochrane Nursing is to support Cochrane’s work by increasing awareness, knowledge, and utilisation of Cochrane evidence for nurses and related healthcare providers involving in delivering, leading and researching nursing care. 本調查旨在確定護理領域進行綜合證據和知識轉移的優先主題，評價 Cochrane Nursing 的現有核心職能，並調查對 Cochrane Nursing 的角色和職能的期望。 Cochrane 是一個國際非盈利性的獨立組織，致力於綜合最新的、高品質的與健康相關的研究證據，並使其在世界範圍內被應用。Cochrane Nursing 的使命是提高執行、領導和研究護理保健的護士及相關醫療保健工作者使用Cochrane證據的意識、知識和能力，支持 Cochrane 的工作。
Are there any benefits or risks to me taking part?

Participation in this study will not cause any discomfort or harm for the respondents. No sensitive questions will be included in the questionnaire. The potential benefits are that the results of this online survey may provide a better understanding of the needs and expectations of nursing care providers towards Cochrane Nursing. Therefore, appropriate and high-quality support can be provided for nursing care providers in the future. 參與這項研究不會帶來任何不適或傷害。問卷中不包含敏感問題。潛在的益處是，這項在線調查的結果可能讓我們更好地瞭解護理工作者對Cochrane Nursing的需求和期望，因此未來可以為護理工作者提供適合和高質量的支持。
How do I know if I am eligible?

The target participants of this study are nursing care providers. Nursing care providers of all levels, including nurses, allied healthcare providers, managers, policymakers, researchers, academics, postgraduate and nursing or healthcare students, will be eligible to participate. 本研究的研究對象是護理服務提供者。護士、其他健康保健提供者、管理人員、政策制定者、研究人員、學者、研究生、護理或健康保健專業學生等護理服務提供者均有資格參加。
What does taking part involve?

Participation will involve taking part in an online survey. It will take around 15-20 minutes to complete the survey. You are not required to give your name or any identifiable information, and you may leave any questions not applicable to you blank. By taking part in this survey, you are agreeing to allow us to publish the research findings with de-identified data, where it will not be possible to link you as an individual to any of the findings. 您將透過完成線上調查的方式參與本調查。完成調查大約需要15-20分鐘。您可不提供您的姓名或任何可識別身份的資訊。對任何不適合您的問題，您可以不予作答。您參加本次調查，即表示您同意我們採用調查資料發表相關研究結果，研究結果將不包含任何可識別您身份的資訊。

Confidentiality

Your identity will be kept confidential. All data collected will be only used for the study purpose and will be stored securely in The Nethersole School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong for at least five years beyond the end of the study. 你的身份資料將被保密。所有收集到的資料只會用於學術研究，並由研究負責人加密並妥善存儲於香港中文大學醫學院那打素護理學院至研究結束后五年及以上。
What will happen to the findings of this study?
