 To recognise staff for their outstanding performance and to promote good practices in quality customer service, Staff Training and Development Committee of The Chinese University of Hong Kong has introduced the Exemplary Service Award since 2001.
Updated Student Activities
MC Skills Training Workshop
 The School promotes effective learning beyond classroom through diversified extra-curricular activities to our students for their whole-person development. Last November and December, 16 Higher Diploma students attended the MC Skills Training Workshop to enhance their presentation skills. The Workshop was hosted by Mr LEUNG Kai Cheung, a veteran DJ and emcee. The enthusiastic novices were given a chance to record their first programme at the studio.
Collaboration with City Junior Chamber
 Riding on the successful collaboration in the past years, City Junior Chamber and the School reached a partnership agreement on 13th January, 2011. In particular, CUSCS will support the leadership training programmes offered by City Junior Chamber to foster young talents with vision.
Higher Diploma Programmes Graduation Ceremony and Teaching Awards 2010

 Higher Diploma Programme Graduation Ceremony 2010 was held on 21st November, 2010 at Sir Run Run Hall on CUHK campus. Over 800 graduates were awarded the qualification of Higher Diploma, while 45 of them received the Outstanding Academic Performance Award 2009/2010 to recognise their achievements.
Korean Speech Contest 2010
Dr Victor LEE, Director of the School presented the trophy to CHUNG Wing Lam, the winner of Speech.
 The 6th Korean Speech Contest was successfully held on 11th December, 2010 at the School's Central Learning Centre. The contest was divided into two categories, namely Speech and Poem Reading. A total of 14 candidates demonstrated their language skills in front of a panel of judges comprising representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, Korean Residents Association Hong Kong, Ewha Womans University, Konkuk University Language Institute, City University of Hong Kong and our School. Not only did the contestants demonstrate their well-groomed Korean speaking skills, but they also showed enthusiasm for the language. The winner of Speech went to Ms CHUNG Wing Lam, while Mr LUO Xiao was awarded the winner in Poem Reading.

Training Programme for the Senior Administrative Staff from Heilongjiang Higher Education Institutions (Cycle 3)
 The School is committed to providing high quality and up-to-date corporate training programmes to meet the needs of various private and public organisations in Hong Kong and the Mainland. Last November, we offered a training programme (黑龍江省普通高校領導香港高級研討班) for the senior administrative staff of several tertiary institutions in Heilongjiang. The programme was so popular that its third cycle was held. A total of 31 senior administration staff from Heilongjiang Higher Education Institutions attended the programme.
CUSCS 45th Anniversary Celebration Concluded

 2010 was a significant year for the School as it celebrated its 45th anniversary. Followed by series of exciting events and activities spanning from last April, the celebration concluded last December. Sword of Vengeance, the historical drama adapted from William Shakespeare's Hamlet by Prof Richard M W HO, was held on 27th to 29th November, 2010. The drama, performed by handpicked CUHK & CUSCS students, was graced with the presence of guests including Prof MA Lin and Prof Ambrose KING, former CUHK Vice-Chancellors; Prof LEUNG Yuen Sang, Head of Chung Chi College; Prof HSIUNG Ping Chen, Dean of Arts, CUHK; Mrs Irene YAU, former Director of Information Services, HKSAR and Ms Michelle LI, Deputy Secretary for Education, HKSAR.
