The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is committed to establishing linkages with institutions around the world to support its staff and students in the pursuit of excellence in their fields of research and learning. CUHK signed an agreement with the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT) last year to take part in the STINT's Excellence in Teaching Programme which allows selected Swedish university faculty (STINT Fellows), to undertake a one-semester teaching at CUHK with funding support from the Foundation.

  • Global Scholarship Programme for Research Excellence for 2013–14 – applications open on 16 January 2013
  • Short-term Faculty Exchange Programmes and PhD Student Exchange Programmes for 2013–2014 – applications open on 30 January 2013
News on Worldwide Universities Network activities
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a member of the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN), an exclusive network of 18 research-led universities across nine countries. OAL is pleased to announce that three applications submitted by CUHK to the WUN Research Development Fund 2012 were selected for the fund.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) bade farewell to some 500 incoming exchange students who will return to their home countries after a term-long exchange at the University this semester.

A 4-member delegation led by Prof. Andrew Petter (second from right, front row), President and Vice-Chancellor of Simon Fraser University, Canada, visited CUHK on 19 November 2012.

Past visits:

  • The Office of Academic Links (OAL) received 33 visiting delegations between 1 November and 31 December 2012. The delegations learned about CUHK's teaching and research priorities and explored opportunities for collaboration with CUHK representatives.
