CUHK Golden Jubilee University Presidents' Forum

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) hosted the Golden Jubilee University Presidents' Forum during 6-8 December 2013 as one of the highlights of its 50th anniversary celebrations. Some 40 university heads from 14 countries and regions engaged in a roundtable around the themed 'Enhancing Intercultural and Multicultural Exchanges in Universities'.

In the month of December 2013, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has consolidated collaborations with like-minded universities such as the University of Oxford (Oxford) and Utrecht University (UU) to serve the needs of local communities. CUHK and Oxford renewed two Memoranda of Understanding to continue their collaboration in public health and in the Collaborating Centre for Oxford University and CUHK for Disaster and Medical Humanitarian Response. CUHK and UU have joined hands to establish the CUHK-UU Joint Centre for Languages, Mind and Brain.

News on Worldwide Universities Network activities
|
CUHK and the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) joined hands in hosting the Inaugural WUN Global China Conference on 'Family Transition, Ageing, and Social Security in China' during 5-6 December 2013. Some 60 scholars and students from nine countries/regions exchanged ideas and discussed key issues on ageing and employment; intergenerational mobility; inequality in health and social security among the elderly; and migration and familial support.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) bade farewell to some 400 incoming exchange students who will return to their home countries after a term-long exchange at the University this semester.
